IMPORTANT DATES/TIMES:

First Day  Sunday 6/16/2024–Registration begins at 9:30.  It is anticipated that parents will want to look around the camp, so plan to arrive between 9:30-12:00 p.m. on Sunday. 

* Orchestra students will be assigned their musical interview time on arrival. Depending on the choir selected, some choir campers will have musical interviews before the first rehearsal.

* Please pack a picnic lunch for your family or bag lunch for your camper. The first meal served to campers will be DINNER. Following lunch, our campers will be heading to their first rehearsals.

* Parents should plan to leave no later than 12:30 p.m. At that time, campers will have their first rehearsal and attend orientation.

 

Please do not bring any dogs to the campsite; they are NOT allowed per Diamond Arrow. Unfortunately, you will be asked to leave if you bring an animal for safety reasons.

CONCERT- Saturday, 6/22/2024 (last day of camp). 

Concert: StartS at 10:30 a.m., parking is sporadic, and it can take time to walk to the amphitheater. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early.

IMPORTANT: CAMPERS ARE PROVIDED A T-SHIRT for the concert; please pack an ADDITIONAL pair of jeans that the child will only wear for the concert. Please ensure your camper has a pair of clean blue jeans (clean, with no holes, tears, or stains), dark pants, or a skirt.

Concert Tickets - Two concert tickets are included with camper tuition, and if extra tickets have already been purchased, they will be included in an envelope at "Will Call" at the concert. Tickets can also be purchased at the table before the concert. General Admission is $10, and children 10 and under are free.

BBQ-After Concert: A scholarship celebration BBQ will immediately follow the concert. Bring a picnic blanket and celebrate with us. Adults are $10, and children 5 and under $7. All proceeds go directly to the SMMC scholarship fund!

Campers' lunch is included with tuition. Tickets can be purchased with cash or check at registration or before camp using your ACTIVE account. All BBQ tickets must be purchased by 6/18/2024.

 

Last Day/Pick up - Saturday: Campers will pack up belongings and place them in designated areas for pickup after the concert. 

Please CHECK LOST AND FOUND and grab any medications from our Health Director.  

 

Additional Info:

 

Sweatshirts: We will have sweatshirts for sale at registration for $40 or PRESALE for $30.  We always order a few extras but cannot guarantee the sizes/colors available at registration. Sweatshirts can be purchased with camper registration for $30 or on drop-off day for $40.

Medications: All medications will be checked with our Health Director on registration day. Please ensure your camper's medications are clearly labeled in a ziplock bag with their name on it. This includes vitamins as well. The only medication campers can have on their person is a rescue inhaler.

Telephone Calls: There are limited emergency phone lines at the camp. These must be kept clear for business & emergency purposes; parents may call campers ONLY IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. Do not give out numbers to the camper's friends, please!! Diamond Arrow Camp Site Manager - (530) 265-3295. Campers may call home only with the permission of staff. Cell phones or wireless devices under any circumstances are NOT allowed at camp. We don't have cell service and don't want them lost or damaged. Any found will be stored until the end of the camp and returned only to the camper's parents.

 

Mail: Campers love to receive mail! You can write to your camper; just be sure to write early to avoid a delay in delivery. Mail can also be dropped off on the first day of camp to be distributed on a certain day. “Care” packages are also acceptable, but please keep food items to a limit to what can be consumed in one sitting, since they are not allowed back in the cabins for critter safety reasons. In the bottom left-hand corner, put the dates your camper will be in camp.

Our Venue

Diamond Arrow Conference Center in the Sierra Foothills is a premium camp site located 6 miles from Nevada City and 2 miles from the beautiful Yuba River! It is located on 375 acres and has a capacity of 468 campers with handicap accessibility which will enable our program to grow, Grow, GROW!!! 15742 N Bloomfield Rd, Nevada City, CA 95959. FAQ

Are we a faith-based camp?

  • While our venue may be Diamond Arrow Christian Conference Center we are not affiliated with nor do we practice a specific faith at camp. All our campers and staff are entitled to their own beliefs and we support that. However, we are a "PG" rated camp. This means we adhere to strict behavior, language, and dress guidelines to protect the fact that we are an all-ages camp. (4th grade- college)

Food:

  • We have an amazing DA kitchen staff team offering 3 hot meals and 2 snacks per day for your camper. A FULL salad bar is available with every lunch and dinner. Snack shack 2x daily does not require an additional $. Everything is included with tuition!

  • Vegetarian and Gluten-Free options are available (fee required from the venue).  Available with online registration.​

What to Bring:

  • Check out our camper portal page to get a detailed packing list and our dress code guidelines.

Cabin Guidelines:

  • All cabins are separated by age/grade. In addition to sleeping arrangements and bathrooms, our camp is separated by gender. Campers can request friends or family on their registration form. We do our best to accommodate all grade/age/gender-matched requests. Every cabin has 1-3 trained counselors to assist in campers' support. In addition, our 20+ staffers are housed all throughout camp and are always available. 

Registration Additions:

  • Items such as zip line wrist band, sweatshirts, Celebration BBQ, and Concert tickets are all available online during registrations. Additionally, you can always log back into your ACTIVE account to update, add or remove or pay the balance. 

  • Zip Line Wrist Band: We offer unlimited zip line, ropes course, and rock wall with a $15 zip line wrist band. Not required with registration.

  • Sweatshirts: Can be purchased online with registration for $30 adult S-XL, pre-orders close May 15th. We will have a small amount available on registration day for $40. Sizes and colors are limited.

First Day of Camp

  • Registration drop-off is on Sunday at @9:30 a.m. All parents must leave by 12:30 p.m.

  • Counselors arrive Saturday before camp and have been given detailed instructions from our Activities Director Nichole. Email smmcactivities@gmail.com for additional information.

  • Parents and Campers: Lunch is not provided on the first day of camp, please bring a sack lunch for you and/or your family. (Families are more than welcome to stay on campus until 12:30 and help get your camper settled) Please make sure all campers are dropped off at 12:30 p.m.(unless prior arrangements have been made). Camp Orientation/Rehearsal is at 1:00 p.m.

What is the cancellation policy?

  • All deposits are 100% refundable until 5/15 If a refund is requested after 5/15 a $75 musical and t-shirt fee will be applied. No full-tuition refunds after 6/1.
