Nichole Harshbarger Activities Director

Our Activities Director is an essential and wonderful assets to Sierra Mountain Music Camp. Campers have wonderful memories of gathering around the campfire, playing relay games out in the field, creating a whirlpool in the swimming pool, and planning wonderful, fun times for all during the week. Since 2007 Nichole Harshbarger has been our amazing Activities Director and makes sure that each season is filled with new and exciting games, traditions that have lasted for years, and has helped make camp a memorable experience for all.  She has brought new and exciting aspects to camp such as our 100 foot slip and slide, yearly themes, cabin checks and so much more! She also oversees all of our counselors, as well as their training for each camp season. SMMC wouldn't be the same without her devotion and energy and we are lucky to have her.

Heather Caplinger Administrative and Marketing Director

Heather was a volunteer when she started with SMMC in 2007. She was introduced to camp by her sister Nichole- SMMC's Activities Director. She started out as a registration volunteer only but year after year found it more difficult to leave camp after just two days. In 2010 Heather came up for the week as a Arts and Crafts volunteer. When the opportunity came up to be a part of the Administrative team she quickly said yes knowing that Sierra Mountain Music Camp was a joy to be a part of. In 2015 Heather took on the role as Camp Administrative and Marketing Director. If you call the SMMC phone or send us an email your sure to get Heather! She loves to watch SMMC grow each year as it touches more musical lives!

Arts and Crafts

Sierra Mountain Music Camp is lucky to have Arts & Crafts leaders Libby Bertacchi and Leanne Louch. Along with their volunteer team ready

and willing to help out our campers with fun, creative, and often environmentally-inspired works of art. In years past, campers have made their own dream catchers, carved soapstone for necklaces, made pins decorated with beads, woven lanyards, and had an overall wonderful experience learning and creating with friends.  With our current volunteers of Libby, Leanne and Kayla, Arts and Crafts has quickly

became a favorite among campers!

Camp Nurse

Each year, Sierra Mountain Music Camp ensures the health and safety of our campers by bringing up a trained nurse who is available at camp all week long. From scraped knees to homesick campers, our Medical Director is there to care for all the campers – young and old.
